Net Zero Lakeside Home
Loveland, CO
This thoughtfully designed Net Zero home embodies the balance of science, art, and sustainability. Built to meet rigorous environmental standards, the residence reflects the unique passions of its owners - a biochemist and a ceramic artist - who envisioned a space where culture, innovation, and nature could coexist in harmony.
Heather collaborated closely with the homeowners to bring this vision to life, guiding the integration of geothermal systems and net-zero energy strategies. Many of the finishes were hand-selected, and even hand-crafted by the artist-owner, making the home not only efficient but deeply personal.
Set against the serene backdrop of a private Northern Colorado lake, the natural surroundings served as inspiration for the interior and exterior design. Heather ensured that nature was not merely a view, but an essential and immersive part of the living experience.
A key feature of the design was the creation of a multi-generational living space, allowing the clients’ parents to reside with dignity, beauty, and ease. Surrounded by light, natural textures, and thoughtful design, the home supports wellness and connection across generations.
Art is woven throughout the home, much of it created by the homeowners themselves - an exceptionally gifted family whose creativity shaped every corner.
Heather curated furnishings that tell a story - from cherished heirlooms to sustainable statement pieces - capturing the essence of lakeside living with elegance and heart.
